Bocchi's Solo (Accurate Cover + Chord Shapes) - Ano Band Live Intro Tabs

Показать описание
*accurate in terms of sound (kinda)
The highly requested (and by that I mean a grand total of 2 people and a comment) Bocchi solo has arrived!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- This is harder than it sounds. You need to be able to exclusively strum a specific amount of strings and be comfortable with left hand muting.
- Technique wise, this is very reminiscent of RHCP's Can't Stop and SRV's Pride and Joy. Those are great prerequisites to this song.
- I heavily recommend using your thumb for the low E because it helps with muting (If you've watched my other videos, you might not be surprised to hear this, but it is especially true for this song). I found it harder to play this without doing so. It makes your hand go into a really awkward position that doesn't allow any room to mute the other strings. This thumb thing will be especially handy for the chord at 0:08 that reoccurs throughout the solo.
- There are a lot of muted notes that can't be notated in this tab style. Listen for these an apply them accordingly.
Other notes:
- 0:06 is played as a single note, whereas 0:08 and 0:11 are played as chords.
- You might want to use your index finger at 0:09 to mute as I am here in case you accidentally strum the lower strings.
- (0:13 and 0:16) Be careful during these parts because natural harmonics may ring out at the 5th and 12th frets. 12th fret especially (0:16)
- 0:18 Allow the open A and D to ring out here, but the main focus is the G string. It should be the loudest string here. You can also allow the open E here but I don't really hear it in the original until the tremolo picking starts at 0:25, hence why I keep it muted until then.
- (0:18 onward) Don't be afraid to dig in. Don't aim to break a string, but aim to be as aggressive as possible. It's the chaotic grand build-up to the even more chaotic intro to the actual song.
I also have a theory for the ending section (0:18).
I threw in a delay just for this part and it ended up being closer to the sound.
Gear Used:
2006 Gibson Les Paul Standard
Neural DSP Tone King Imperial Mk II
- Delay within Tone King set to 190 BPM for 0:18 onward
