Watch before you buy. It really helps to avoid scratches on the beautiful Apple Watch.

Same issue here noticed on week 1. Just partially retired the Graphite Milanese loop on my Graphite SS watch in favour of a midnight silicone band for a carefree experience. Will use ML for special occasions only.

I love short videos. Great advice too.

I was just admiring mine and was considering what materials they used. I had mine for 6 months now, and I was looking at it and it looks pristine. Like it is day 1. Not even micro scratches. And I had apple watch before, and not destroyed or scratched badly, but at least it had micro scratches. This one, you wipe it with a piece of cloth once and it looks absolutely new. I feel like even grease has a harder time staying on the surface of this watch. I mean if you put your finger on it, it leaves less of a print, and it will be much easier to remove.

Video on how to clean the graphite stainless steel please. I know is easy to clean the silver one but if you clean the graphite like that as well you will ruin it …. Please a video about this, can’t find a way anywhere

It has to do with the Melanese loop, since it’s made of the same tough coating as the Apple Watch.

Thanks for sharing. I have also graphite 7 for a month now. Scratch free. I guess this ss band is the cause.

How about the screen itself? Were you also able to sratch it?

Don't be annoyed with that scratch, sooner or later it will scratch with time dear. Forget and enjoy using that shiny amazing graphite AW🙏😍

My Milanese loop scratched Aluminium casing(space grey) .. doesn’t bother much.

Is scratches exist on stainless steel?

It's really a shame they changed from DLC to PVD for the graphite coating. The space black DLC watches are extremely hard to scratch.

I ordered my silver stainless steel but had seen others comment on this scratch issue with that particular band so I went with a leather link strap. Maybe down the line I’ll get the link SS.

Stainless steel watch screen will scratch less than the Aluminium version, but it will break easier. The stainless steel body will scratch easier than the Aluminium version.

That can be removed though from what I’ve seen.

Apple changed the nature of the finish on these newer stainless watches. They have a PVD coating rather than DLC coating. Big mistake on their part. I would not own a Series 7 or newer Apple Watch with the graphite Stainless finish because of that.
