The Stainless Steel Apple Watch starts off looking like a 10, then over time turns into a 5 or 6.

This is a very simple answer. Stainless steel Apple watches can always be buffed down to near perfect condition. For this reason alone, I only buy stainless steel Apple watches. Along with the fact that most high-end watches are stainless steel.

I’d rather the body get dinged up than the screen, the saphire screen is very scratch proof and way harder to crack. Some people prefer the smaller body and stylish looks so still is a solid option to buy

stainless steel/sapphire and 40mm is the best choice i’ve made on an apple purchase dude. no cracked screen, no case, nice weight, jack of all trades—can wear a nicer metal band without looking like a goofball. stainless steel (and 40mm size imo) takes it from a piece of tech to functional jewelry. barely any cosmetic issues bruh idk what you’ve been doing with yours. i’ve run miles with it, get it wet, school/work/gym, i sleep with it on…

On a normal high-end watch, scratches can be buffed and polished out during its regular maintenance. Sadly Apple Watch doesn’t have the lifespan to make it worthwhile.

Cuz it's the ONLY material that looks AMAZING with brown leather watch bands. Looks classy af, and that steel luster is what makes up half of that visual appeal.

I chose the stainless steel option due to its understated elegance, as the gold variant can sometimes appear ostentatious, lending a touch of sophistication to my ensembles. Moreover, I appreciate the stainless steel iteration not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for the subtle status it confers upon me. While anyone can readily acquire a basic Apple Watch, the ubiquity of the entry-level models contrasts with the relatively fewer instances of the steel version, akin to the allure of luxury cars over their more commonplace counterparts.

Speaking of resilience, my Series 6 Apple Watch has sustained its impeccable appearance over time, a testament to its durability. In alignment with the sentiments of the late Steve Jobs, I concur that stainless steel possesses a unique charm that only deepens as it ages, akin to the appreciation for fine patina on quality objects.

Ive had my Stainless Steel Series 8 for a few months now and there's not a single scratch, so I don't know what your doing with yours.

You can get a polisher and just rub away the scratches, also works with any silver iPhone with a stainless steel. Just don’t use it on the colored ones, it would not be an enjoyable experience.

PVD coating on the Graphite & Gold variants largely mitigate this.

I wore all stainless models— the original Apple Watch, then the S3, then the S5, which I just replaced with the U2. Mine never got scratched up because I treat my watches well and do not whack them into things.

The silver version is not coated so it gets scratched very easy ive got the 41mm series 8 in gold and it looks like new! make sure you buy the gold or graphite model since they are extra coated and not raw material :)

Because of the tech AW only has a lifespan of 4 years before I need a tech refresh.

The graphite stainless steel Apple Watch Series 7 looks brand new without a scratch anywhere on it after a year of use. And I wear it 24/7 except to charge.

Ultra still looks brand new after rock climbing with it for a year🙌🏼

I like the fact it reminds me of my old iPhone X and the OG iPod touches. I wish I could afford one.

Apple needs to bring back the black titanium Apple Watch from series 5. I’ve had mine since 2019 and the sapphire glass and matte black case still holds up.

I’ve had the space black titanium for 2 years and looks completely flawless, screen and casing have no scratches. Used to have the stainless steel one and it scratches up bad. Was worried about polishing it out as your still stripping off the metal.

The gold Apple Watch 9 looks so good though but a 45mm stainless steel Apple Watch 9 is the same price as an Ultra.

Because the stainless steel pretty much goes with every band you get. Unlike if let say you get a red watch even if you get the cover for it. Theres always a hint of that color and for some people that has some OCD. If it doesnt match. Then we get paranoid.
