The main reason people (or at least I) have defaulted to the Zehmn35 compensator is because it has the same effect as the Cassus Brake does with the AR builds - the firing aim stability really makes the recoil feel a lot more controllable as it gains this weird smoothing effect.

As a somewhat casual MnK player I really appreciate the tac stance build at the end. It's perfect for me as I love the Ram-9 but, as you said, close range engagements on Mnk feel very unforgiving (unless you're an absolute demon), and the irons aren't the best for me. Appreciate all the work you do for the community my man!

alternative build for the ram 9: instead of the reargrip, use the buffed V5 short barrel! helps with sprint to fire and recoil! that recoil taken care of also allows for a suppressor! for me that makes up for the downsides.

The compensator has been like that for a very long time. There are 3 muzzles that significantly reduces visual recoil which is the compensator flash hider, the purifier muzzle, and the casus brake will actually reduce visual recoil significantly. No other attachment will reduce visual recoil to the same amount than those 3 muzzles. If you hate visual recoil, use those muzzles. Now the thing with compensator flash hider is that it also gets rid of the flash, so no flash plus less visual recoil is awesome. But I would highly recommend to choose between the casus or compensator based on the actual recoil pattern of the gun you want. If you find that your gun has more horizontal recoil/s[read, use the casus. If you find that your gun has more vertical recoil/spread than horizontal then use the compensator flash. But for smgs, definitely use the compensator flash to get rid of a majority of the visual recoil. I find that less visual recoil helps me win more of my gunfights both long range and close range.

I was aware of flash hiders, they became popular by the end of mw2 if I remember correctly and if you're using iron sights, you don't want that muzzle flash and smoke so it's either flash hiders or suppressors.

The muzzle thing has been known for quite a while. For the muzzle break and compensator, gas is vented out of the ports. In Mw2019 it was most noticable. Muzzle breaks dispersed gas horizontally, and compensators dispersed it vertically.

Thanks for info. Always look forward to these guides. Tony, would love to see you do a deep dive into Tac-stance. It's not a perfect solution but it's really helping me win a lot of CQC fights against controller. With the right attachments, your recoil is actually way lower than ADS for some reason, and you can easily hit targets at 30+ meters. Not that that's a reliable way to kill, but it's just to illustrate that Tac-Stance is actually extremely viable for MnK if you build right. *EDIT* I hadn't made it till the last build yet. So it seems you covered it already. Cheers!

I didn’t know about the muzzles hiding smoke or flash. Iceman Isaac once showed at the beginning of this game or MW2 that suppressors actually made more muzzle smoke. Glad its fixed.

You can get tac stance spread down to .7 with ram9 its absurd. Personally i run one with msp handstop increasing spread to 1.1 but makes it much faster. Gun fries. Easily takes down middle target.

What makes the wsp9 so good is the hip fire … I’ve gotten so many kills just hipfiring in close engagements and have so many bullets to work with cause the high damage per shot

I just finally perfected my ram 9 build last night. I was SLAYING solos with it. Winning a good amount of fights past the 1st damage drop off.

I hope they buff the mag attachments for the AMR9, the negatives they add to the gun are insane and aren't scaled with the other smg's large mag attachments

The STFT on the AMR9 can be almost mitigated when you slide cancel into ADS and firing, "slide cancel to fire time, " lol. Trust, when you really dial in your gameplay with the AMR9, man its dangerous.

My Trebuchet Brake attachment is bugged. I've max leveled the WSP Swarm and the attachment is still locked.
