We definitely don't do the deed in the room 😂. According to Judaism, when a man and woman enter a secluded room in front of witnesses, that is a sign of marriage, because that is something reserved for a married couple. The couple typically will just share a special, intimate moment together, taking in that amazing 'we just got married!' feeling, share a first hug or kiss :)

According to Jewish custom, the bride and the groom fast the day of the wedding. Entering this room is the moment they are allowed to break that fast. So while some people may think that they “do the deed”, they most likely just eat food!
(Hence the food set up in the video!)

I find the many traditions fascinating. The traditional dress for a religious Jewish man looks almost disheveled. Like he’s half dressed with lots of items untucked etc. I’m aware they all have a significance.
Also - does the bride wear a wig on her wedding day or does that not happen until the next day ❤
