This is how he used to put STF earlier not like how he does in recent times with just covering the eyes of the opponent. This original one can choke the hell of the opponent.

John Cena’s facial expressions, look of intensity in his presence…he was definitely the man during those years.

Back when there was a U in the end. I just found out what it stood for this year. LOL. He needed this for the submission match.

I hate how many don't call Cena's signature moves by original name anymore. And if you've noticed this move started looking different over the years

I remember this. Cena had to defend his WWE Championship against not only Chris Masters, but even Kurt Angle, in a no disqualification, no count out triple threat submissions only match. It is one ploy for Eric Bischoff to ensure John Cena was not champion. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.

A week later Eric Bischoff was fired as Raw GM, and Cena would drop the title a month later.

John Cena in his prime. The STF always looked painful the way he did it. Especially when he made HHH tap at Wrestlemania.

Chris Masters was underrated. Hated him at the time. But very appreciated now

On the Broken Skull Sessions, even Stone Cold said to Lashley "I always told John to put some stank on it when using the STF" Lashley laughed and said "Yeah it just feels like having the side of your head squeezed."

I don’t blame John Cena being away from the ring because he can’t risk any injury and we got to respect his decision, and when the time is right for him he will be back when his ready

The Ruthless Agression is the best era of the 2000’s

John Cena didn't necessarily debut the STF itself. He introduced it as an alternate finisher and his submission move of choice.

Coach, Styles, and the King. Wow. What a crew

Ruthless aggression had so much good stuff during the era. Personally I find it better than alot of peoples attitude era stuff. Instead of all the dangerous weapons and stunts that caused guys constant concussions and other injuries for the long term we actually got more wrestling. Smackdown 2002-2004 was gold.
