Introduction

In this video for 3ds max we'll talk again about how to create a wet asphalt material, but this time we'll do it using VRay. Technique used will be similar to the Mental Ray tutorial we released some weeks ago.

What we'll do

In Photoreal wet asphal with VRay tutorial, we'll start working at the old MR scene version. We'll pick all materials to convert it to VRay shaders. Lighting will be based on the EXR sky map again using the VRay dome light. We'll tune a little bit the wet effect making something more complex and realistic than previous version using more wet levels with different water percentage obtaining different reflection/glossy levels. Same technique can be used to tune the MR version too.

nice tutorial but the question is.. where to get that map, show on material editor positioning 1st in first row. at time (2:10)

Thanks for the effort but people really should learn how to do tutorials, u cant just simply use pre-created stuff and do the tutorial, at last give us the materials or maps so we can replicate what ur doing, this video works only as entertainment but its not useful, but thanks for the video though.

hello you can put a link to download the material with their maps? it is easier to understand the tutorial with maps and true values that are using, thank you very much
