Awesome screwdrivers. All of my slotted drivers are the yellow impact version which I bought in 1's and 2's. Allows for general use and abuse such as opening paint cans and general scraping without damage. My Philips are all the regular green version. That way I can spot them easily in my bag. I'm also a big fan of the kraftform handles since I'm ambidextrous and end up grabbing the drivers at all angles. Thanks!

I have a set of these. They are the closest thing I've found to a set designed to be abused. They come out when I need to do something stupid

Those are nice. Doc your a man of many tools. I started buying German screwdrivers a few years ago and now own way to many. Wera Wiha Felo stahlwille and quite a few Japanese Vessel drivers. All very good quality. It’s always a pleasure to have confidence that your screwdriver isn’t gonna cam out when you got one shot on a tough screw.

Living in Denmark where I have to fight rust on pretty everything I work on that has been outside for a few years, I found this set to be the most useful set of screwdrivers I have ever owned…..especially the Pozidrive ones are the only ones I have ever owned that can really bite into a rusty Phillips screw head and get it out.

I don’t know why other people have reported that they rust easily, I have not experienced that myself, I have even used mine in the rain a few times…..given I wiped them off after I finished using them, but still

I have used these for the last 10years and have had a very hard life. Often removing slotted screws that have been there well over 100 year. They are have almot never let me down, I have damaged the tip of one of the smaller ones.
But genuinely 10 out of 10 in my list of must have tools for any apprentice we take on can beat the price the function 👌👌👌

Here in Germany Wera is "the" company for screwdrivers, as is Knipex for pliers. Such a set is € 26.- regular. $ 15.- sure is a bargain!

I personally only have some bigger ones of that kind, since I don't have so much heavy works to do, but I have about 30 other drivers from them, for flat-screws, PH & PZ, Index, out-hex and so on. My oldest one I found 50 years ago as a kid, lying near a building site, it already had the Kraftform, although the materials of the handles were different. Has seen some use & abuse, is still going strong.

I watched your video shortly after it came out when they where still $35. Now they 15 hour later they are 44.16. I should have bought them. I use their standard ones all the time and I love them.

I keep the T27 in my chainsaw/forestry kit. With the T27, a scrench, a small pliers wrench, some thin needle nose, and some Motoseal I can pretty much rebuild a saw on a tailgate. The metal cap allows you to add percussive loosening and the bolster + wrench means every screw is coming loose.. even rusty muffler bolts.
FYI 2 smoke mix gas makes a decent penetrating lubricant, especially if you put a tiny dab of bar oil on the fastener after you wet it with the mix gas. Creeps right in.

I use wera they are a great value for what you get, the tips fit in screws like a champ as well as being super durable. They’re bits are my favorite too.

Just bought a set of these as they were back down near $40. I went to buy the ph#3 separately and it was over $20 on its own so I ended up grabbing a vessel impacta PH #3x150mm and a #2x150 to compliment the wera set. Really excited to add them to my service cart and put them into use in the shop!

I picked up a set of screwdrivers from a Tractor Supply that I just realized are imitating this Wera set. They have a full tang blade, striking cap, and the bolster where the blade meets the handle. I think a set of six was $9. I'm glad to have picked them up as an introduction to this style of driver and after seeing this I think I'll check out the Wera set.

I love these. Got a couple flatheads. One smaller beater and one large one (the largest one you can get with the yellow/black) and they take abuse BUT the bigger one’s, believe it’s 5/16 or 3/8 slotted, tip broke right off while using it to chisel open a crack in a 4” rigid pipe in the ground LOL. So yea, it REALLY takes a beating! But the great thing is, I just used my bench grinder to make a new Flathead tip!

FYI the underside of the screwdriver holder has places for holding the micro screwdrivers produced by Wera.

ESD stands for electrostatic discharge, those tools have conductive handles - so these drivers would fit as long as the user contacts the steel striking cap.

i grabbed the one that had the 1/4 socket square drive at the strike cap. Milwaukee cheapen out on that chisel driver. It actually feels less of a chisel compared to the one you have. Thankfully, Toughbuilt makes a similar one, but what makes it unique is that the bevel edge on the chisel is more apparent.

People tend to buy the wrong screwdrivers then complain when they break. For the DIY you only need two types, ie two sets. An impact set as the Wera and a VDE set for electrical work. The two are mutually exclusive, don't use one where you should use the other. But you need an extra PH3 which most sets don't have.

Thank you for the video. I have one 7mm flat screwdriver from this series, a very useful tool.
In one YouTube video, of another tool aficionado, it was mentioned that the small screwdriver doesn't have a full (all the way) shank, he tested this with a magnet.. I wonder how true is this.

Check out the Mayhew Select screwdriver set. 10pc set all of the drivers have a hex bolster and striking cap except the two stubbies. Best screwdriver set I’ve owned.

I buy the smaller ones and other items from them. They are expensive but really good quality

My wera kraftform striking set has some that can take a 1/4 ratchet on the top. Also there is a torx set too which I picked up
