Normal duct tape has problems with allergies, skin damage. Use elastic cosmetic tape. Also, you can remove the tape with skin lotion being rubbed below it without hurting. You can also make a tape/cleave gag to allow the person to breath through mouth if needed, but you need to balance the pressure on lips as not to crush them.
