We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid" and the buiness/work related side of our life can be found on our secondary channel "Josh and Erin- The After Show". Here you will see us renovating our Cafe, opening/operating the Cafe with goods from our farm, building/furnishing/running our short term rentals, finding/operating our other real estate investments and more. I wish that all kids could be raised in your environment. It's not an easy life, but learning to love the land and being grounded in hard work with a loving family is something beyond measure.

I stopped by Wild Roots Cafe on Thursday morning at 8:00 was the first burrito of the day and it did NOT disappoint. It not only tasted awesome it was my breakfast and lunch as it was HUGE!!!! Also picked up three candles for Christmas presents. What a great first visit to the cafe. The first of many.

That roof work definitely looked sketchy! Good to have that behind you. I am glad that you show us your day to day farm work and prep because it shows not only the wide variety of your tasks and care for your animals but the true meaning of a family farm and all that goes into keeping it running on the high level that you folks do. Thanks for taking us along.

I applaud your parenting in showing, explaining and demonstrating hard work and instilling in your kids a work ethic. So many YouTube parents with kids allow the Internet to raise their kids and fail to teach hard work to their kids. Thank you for how you raise your kids.

The house build is enjoyable but the farm life is what makes this channel special.

It will be a blessing to get all the metal on. Lots of work. I’m 71 so I spend most of my time helping young men with their sobriety walks. And lots of time with my grandkids. 24 years sober has its blessings. Just ask my wife lol.

So glad that Josh got that ice and water shield on before the ice rain. I do not want to watch him go backwards on that roof. Nice to see the everyone working together. You have an awesome family.

Those are some happy animals. Well taken care of. Those two young men getting the heating wood ready are a blessing also. Love the sound of children's laughter, especially Ellie's.

Your children are growing up so fast, I just love how much they help out. I was holding my breath when Josh was going up on that roof. The weather sure has been unpredictable.

I love your hard-working family, and you make it so much fun. We know life is not rosy 24/7 because no one's life is perfect. But the essence of your life is something you can't hide. It comes through on camera even when you may not think it does. Thanks for sharing. It keeps us coming back week after week.

We stack hay bales around our mobile chicken coup. The difference is night and day with the insulation. Last years ice storm didn't kill any chickens because we did this
