My starter finally got bubbly enough to make bread! Y'all come on in and we will get it ready ....it's a process....but so worth the effort!!!

INGREDIENTS
6 C BREAD FLOUR
1 T SALT
1/2 C SUGAR
1/2 C CORN OIL
1 1/4 C WARM WATER
1 C ACTIVE STARTER

I'm so glad you posted this video. It's time for me to get my starter out of the refrigerator and bring it back to life. I don't feed mine through the summer, I let it just stay in the refrigerator and then get it out in September and give it a shock it feed, which is the beginning starter ingredients added to the old. That is the way I keep my old starter going. It makes the sourdough so much more flavorful to have a starter that is years old. Anyway, I need to get it out and kick-start it again. You have a wonderful week.

Looks yummy, I agree try making 2 loaves instead of 3. You said rat killing, they had a big problems with those in a lot of places here, all the restaurants closing during the shut downs, they started heading to peoples gardens and homes looking for something to eat, down by the shore they have warf rats, big as cats, even the cats run from them.

Are you using whole wheat flour? Your loaves look darker than I thought it would be with white flour. I love this bread!!

I didn’t think I liked sour dough until I made my own, your looks delicious so I’ll be trying this recipe. I just got my tomatoes all canned today and Will be working on carrots next 😊
