i find it funny and heartwarming that most people here are hunters who have slain dozens and hundreds of monsters, yet are immediately defeated at the sight of a comrade going

The first part makes me feel kinda happy.

But the second part, when you see tears dripping from their eyes... my god...

The echoing meow that you receive right after they're GONE is what hurts the most.

i choose my palicos wisely so i wont have to go through that...

I never let Palicoes go, even if they have sucky stats... it's just WAY too sad for me.... ;(

That all aside, in later games what they could do is show your hunter cheering up the palico, have a goodbye hug, then show the palico move on trying to hide their tears to stay strong for you to keep you from tearing up too.
