Same here Rana. I gave up my career as an artist which led me to rearrange my office back to a fun/hobby room and I started buying books to fill the shelves that were holding my shop inventory before. But I like to attempt a low-buy year in 2025 in general. If I want a new book, I'll check my library first or buy the ebook (I'm quite good with reading my bought books, it's just the space issue).

I’ve tried a book buying ban a month ago and failed after two weeks. I admire your self-control. I’d like to be able to get to a year without buying anymore books. I have a good amount of unread books that I need to catch up on, too.

Yeah books is actully a cheap hobby there are charity shops in England here i can get books for £0.50 each or saw offers 3 books for £1 so its like £0.33 per book!

By the way what are your idea to „get rid” of the books you dont need anymore, the ones you already read them or you have to goodbye to make space for other books? As its hard to sell books. More people sell them than buy haha

I'm doing a modified book buy ban. I have 48 books on my TBR. I'm doing the #readwhatyouown challenge. No new books till I'm through my current TBR. This should take me about a year.

حبيت فكرة التوقف عن شراء الكتب لمدة عام وبإذن الله بجربها لكن معرض الكتاب عندنا بيكون آخر السنة وببدأ بعده ⭐️
استغرب من الاستهلاكية المفرطة لشراء الكتب بكثير من مواقع التواصل عدد غير منطقي من الكتب و الاستمرار بشراء المزيد والمزيد تبحث عن مراجعات للكتب بهذه الحسابات وتجدها قليلة جداً الأغلب تصوير book haul وصور فنية للكتب .
