Bruh I let a friend borrow my Anne Rice book that was autographed and I literally hounded her for 7 YEARS before I got it back this year. I refuse to let anybody borrow my books anymore. Go to a library if you wanna read it 😏

I don't lend my books to anyone. I just give them. I don't feel the need to keep every book and I can always buy a new copy later. Sometimes the books come back, but now I don't need to ever worry about it.
And it's fun hearing that books I gave to someone got given to someone else. I've even had books be passed around a social circle and then return to me with the giver not knowing that the book originated with me.

me and this boy both liked the Percy Jackson series after having a novel study on the first book so a couple days later he got the whole series and now he lets me borrow his books and I respect it so much! He’s really sweet and he even let my borrow TWO BOOKS FOR THE SUMMER BREAK and I still have it back <3

Agreed—people don’t have the same level of respect. I either buy them a copy or gift it to them if I don’t want my copy anymore.

Oh i agree. I dont let anyone borrow my books or DVDs. So many people just can't behave responsible. Which is pretty sad.

Only share my books with my favorite cousin because I know she is protective as her books as much as I am 🥰

Otherwise I'll be politely turning down anyone who asks... cause my books have standards

I've had my fair share of bad experiences lending people my books. People returning completely different books from the ones I gave them. People returning books with pages missing, and people not returning them at all. These days, if someone expresses interest in my books, I'll just buy them their own copy or give them mine if I don't plan on reading it. Never lending anyone my books again because we all know how that ends.

That Barnes & Noble looks like a Borders!! 😮 I miss Borders... I love Barnes & Noble, but Borders was usually less expensive and also had good coffee 😅

You have to read Keeper Of The Lost Cities!!! Its actually my favorite book series on earth. Its aimed more for teenagers and young adults but the character relationships are so good and the books just keep getting better and better!!! And OMG Keefe is actually the best book boyfriend in the world!!! 😆
