First 43 seconds is why this channel is so good. Rory calmly calling out the bozo who drives a Rivian and stole his clamp

I hate it when people steal when you help them in time of need. Karma will get them

hey Rory the good thing is you can sue him if he does try and patent it because you have video evidence and proof he stole your idea

Hey Rory, Mike & Shawn - Another excellent recovery video. BAD FORM on the customer for not returning your tie-rod clamp.
Keep up the great work fellers.

We need to share this video and make them famous. Your one hell of an engineer Rory and no one should take credit or profit off your inventions.

Typical thankless people, taking advantage of others. Rory is a great example of someone who helps people because it’s the right thing to do. Sadly selfish people take advantage of that. In the end they will get what they deserve.

I have five patents. To patent the tie-rod clamp, he would have to prove there is no prior art or no device of the same type. Or, he could attempt to patent a device that improves existing devices of the same type. In either case, you have a video demonstrating he did not invent the tie rod clamp, so he cannot patent the device. If he is allowed a patent pending status, you can dispute that status by providing the US Patent Office with the video as proof he did not invent the tie rod clamp. At that point, they will not issue a patent.

I remember watching the video when you made that sleeve and wondered why you never used it. Know we know! What a POS that guy is for stealing your property.

I love your neck of the woods. It's so beautiful. I could sit for hours and hours just taking it all in and still not get my fill. Sorry about the thief.

I didn't see any license plates on the Rivian. That is a hell of a dedicated off-road toy!

Unfortunately some people just have no RESPECT but lots of money to think they are better than others

Rory. I have went through the patent process and have received patents, and have others that are patent pending. My advice is that it isn't worth it. Average cost is $350k. Then you have to defend it in court. Make your design, sell them on your website, and be happy with how it works out. A lot less headaches, and you will make more money in a shorter time frame. Besides, I have seen similar items from others which will be found during the discovery.

I have a Rivian r1s and I have never taken it off-roading. It's such a capable vehicle though.
