After watching many many watercolor tutorials over the years, you are the only one I need. Your explanations of tools, equipment and applications are so easy to understand. Thank you so much. I appreciate you.

Thanks for teaching us this and keeping the selection small. After watching, I realized that I had these 3 essentials and now I won't be looking further. You are a god-send to artists.

I purchased Michele’s essentials brush set from Jackmans and have used them for over a year and half. These are my favorite brushes and I own several brushes from well known companies. These brushes hold pigment and water perfectly. The round brush has a fantastic feel and spring. These brushes ship to the US with no issues.

Can you do a video on watercolor mediums and how to use them? I’m curious about flow aid and how to use it with blooms

I'm delighted to have come across your channel. Each video is informative and easy to understand- for a complete novice such as myself! This video is no exception. So helpful to know all the uses you can get from each one, as well as other useful information such as where they're made. Huge plus that they're vegan too!

Years ago, I thought large flat brushes were strictly for house painting (surely, I can't be alone there!), but after watching you and other talented artists use them, I finally got a few last week, and they DO make a difference, especially for those back washes. Thank you again, Michele! 🎨

My desert island brushes would be a large dagger, a large round and an angled shader. I highly suggest and recommend giving a dagger a try.

I'd rather have a mop, a small square brush and a small round brush .. but I'd happily swap the last for a long rigger. I tend to hold my brushes further down the handle away from the ferrule. My small round brush is a pro arte extendable brush, ideal for sketching plein air. I have a similar brush from a pound shop makeup set - less than 10p worth of brush that's fab for postcard washes! My mop brush I change often - yes it was a makeup brush originally! I'm more recently tempted by a michael solovyev brush with harder bristles in the centre for wiping out paint. I haven't spent my pounds yet. I'd love to LEARN HOW TO MAKE AN ARTIST BRUSH ...if you want to take up the challenge!

Thank you. I was exactly looking to find whether to paint on a flat surface, and (boom!) you said it. Amazing. Really enjoying your teaching and humor. Bless you.

I just found you and I’m so happy!
I enjoy the way you explain everything you do.

I’m completely new to watercolor and a bit intimidated. That may be due to my sad attempts years ago to do watercolor, but now I have time and I hope I can learn.

I would love to do watercolors off the sketches and photos I did when I was young and traveling the world.

I used to draw/sketch a lot but that seems like a lifetime ago. Hopefully I will remember how to sketch for the photos I didn’t take or couldn’t take in some places I visited. I also hope I can do watercolor off some of my old photos.

When I was young, I was able to do a lot of traveling. I went to

Unfortunately I am now disabled (ME/CFS) and trapped in my house along with the pain and exhaustion I hope to find watercolor to avoid those things by focusing on watercolors.

I’m exhausted and ache all the time due to what I was told ME/CFS. So I have terrible insomnia which I feel is the worst vs the full body pain. Oh, and fortunate me, pain meds stopped working for me sometime after 27 to 40. I don’t know why it happened since I always avoided all drugs. I didn’t even take aspirin for my headaches since I knew how to rid them using pressure points.

Enough of my cry baby B.S. I need to get my sketchbook out and see what I can do with just the one brush I have.😂 This should be interesting.🤔🤣

I agree with your choices...don’t have the large flat brush but have often thought how much easier it would be to use for large areas, so, I will be buying one. As usual Michele, you’re spot on...I so enjoy your site & tutorials, Thank You
