memory vs storage vs registers
memory: place where data is saved temporarily. ex: ram and rom. RAM is volatile and we can write into it whereas we can't write in ROM.
storage: it is the place where data is saved permanently. ex: internal storage of your phone (64gb, 256gb)
registers: registers are not a part of memory but of cpu and hold information about the instructions frequently used by the cpu
cache: cache is a type of RAM static in nature

i googled this information because i had some doubts and decided to write here.
