D code case (40hp)
64mm 1200 crank Balanced
77mm high compression pistons match weighted
1200 rods balanced end on end
1300 t/p heads, stock valve size
Stainless steel valves
new stock springs (H/D springs would make valve train work harder)
titanium valve retainers (to reduce sprung weight)
Light weight lifters (to reduce valve train weight)
Stock aluminium push rods cut to length
Engle W100 Cam shaft
modified stock cam gear wheel
12Lb flywheel balanced
180mm early T2 clutch
Italian Weber 36 I.D.F's
bug still runs ignition points and 6 volt electrics!

SWEET Runner!!!! Pepper and spice runs real nice!! Always wanted to experiment with Titanium valve train. Your build reminds of the days when Okrasa was making stuff in the 50's and 60's.
I wonder what those guys would think of the stuff we are doing today?

Hi hot 1200! Been reading your thread at volkszone and now inspired to build a 1200 to 1384. Have a 1300sp head lying around, any idea to flycut how many mm to have the compression back? Will there be any interference with the cooling fin?
