A recent article from the Wall Street Journal took a shot at two time-honored investment strategies: the 60/40 portfolio and the 4% rule. Will these two financial principles work in the future? CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Wes Moss, a managing partner with Capital Investment Advisors, joins Christa to discuss the purpose of these fundamentals and explains why they still belong on the Mt. Rushmore of finance.

Clark is off today, but we hope you enjoy the show with Wes and Christa. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

00:00 - Intro

I've thrown in some small cap value, international, managed futures, and gold to diversify my 60/40, but I think the traditional 60/40 is fine too.

I was shocked not to see Clark but we already know you can handle it all Krista. I’ll be glad when he’s back though just because that’s what I’m used to and I’m glad you had a guest on today that helped a lot thank you.

Really good discussion guys and I agree with Wes 100%. Time tested investment strategies have withstood the test of time for good reason. They just work.

Such a good show. Should be called "The Christa & Clark who? Show." Or maybe "Christa & Friends."

What's Warren's saying? The stock market is a great device for transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient. Get in early and buy often and the rest will take care of itself.

#TeamClarkRocks Great job, Christa. Welcome, Wes. I bet Clark's perusing the "$1.25 Store." Lol.

I lost 50 percent from 2007 to 2009, but have gained over 600 percent since.

Good info as usual. The green circle (from the light) in his glasses is a bit distracting. Love the show!

Again insurance is not an investment. And everyone pays taxes eventually.

Stay away from those criminals trying to scam you with that annuity garbage!

You can certainly withdraw contributions from a Roth. It’s still a horrific unrecoverable mistake.
