Wonderful drone footage! Have visited Avebury several times and plan to go again soon, such a magical place and I particularly like the avenue, especially out of season. Love the view of the crop circle and saw Silbury Hill in the background. Climbed it once years ago, don't think you are allowed to now. A much steeper climb than it looks but glorious views. I drove to Avebury from 🇧🇪 in summer last year. Drove all the way up to Lincoln, York, until Edinburgh. Just me and my Comyns Beaumont books.
The’ map was green, no vacc requirements, no fuss to get on the eurotunnel train. It did feel like it could very well be the last time.

Our country used to have savage Winters and a mini ice age from 1300 to 1800 AD. So with that and thousands of years of ice attack, the original stones must have been as big as Sarcens, or more! Like Stonehenge, we will never know what they looked like when first built, but by the size of the embankment it must have been amazingly impressive to see from miles away!

Managed to go there first time this weekend 10 July 2024 amazing energetic place, huge megalithic stones, and west kennet long barrow with it’s huge entrance blocking stone, silbury hill all powerful energies thanks Hugh great video to watch and drone footage gives you a good view .

Amazing! Looks like the road crews smashed right through it. No RESPECT for the Ancients? Whyyy? Any video footage of when they blasted away this Megalith's boulders to cut the roadway through? Looks Like they used the stones to make these barns with.
