Canonically, the BW protag Hilbert/Hilda is searching for N alongside Looker, this is also supported by the player's mom asking if they found someone they were looking for when the BW2 protag enter the BW protag's home.

Though not canon as Pokemon Masters EX is its own canon entirely, there Hilbert (who's the canon protag there) finally reunites with N within N's event, and there it was also confirmed that Hilbert has been searching for N. (And meanwhile Hilda COMPLETELY missed out the whole Team Plasma takeover due to her being WAY too distracted in the Battle Subway due to battle autism)
