Dude, you are one of this generation’s great artists in fly tying…I hope the wider community comes to that conclusion at some point. With regards to this fly, I occasionally fish a tailwater with large, highly selective trout (anyone from Massachusetts knows exactly where I’m talking about) and this is the ticket for days when they’re on a scud bite…

Got some inspiration from another one of your scud fly videos. I had a go with various materials I have and got myself two rainbow trout at the weekend. The day was difficult and people were surprised I caught fish on them. Just goes to show that when they want something different, it pays to have a few in stock. Hey Mak! Nicely tied freshwater shrimp! I like the way you added the legs, have to try that. I use a composite loop (two ostrich herls and a bit of soft hackle fibers) for adding the "fuzzy stuff" to the scud. Gotta love that UV resin - wonder how we ever got along without it. Cheers! Hank

Amazing fly, thank you! Here are alot of gammarus pulex in our rivers, i think over 90% fish food are that gammaruses in fall. they looks just like that. You can be sure i'll tie flies a lot like that for my fishing😄👍
