Ren & Stimpy was a children's show that followed dog and cat, Ren and Stimpy on their multiple bizarre adventures. Despite being aimed at a younger audience, the show often featured gross out humor and other mature themes. One episode in particular was so offensive, that it was banned from airing on Nickelodeon. The episode is called Mans Best Friend and finds ren and stimpy being adopted by the manic George Liquor.

I actually had the DVDs of all the seasons, and this was on there, fully uncensored

The Bloody head scene was banned from their episode Haunted house!

The creator of the show definitely had some repressed anger and trauma from his childhood and even stated that the character of George was based of his father.

The '90s was the best decade because it was the only decade where kids' cartoons could get away with the craziest things. Ren and Stimpy was among the craziest.

George liquor actually appeared a few times in Ren and Stimpy in different forms as angry characters with exaggerating features

Im 62 and tell you Ren and Stimpy cartoons were the best ever.

Also another fact is that this episode cost the creator of the show, John K, his job. He was upset that Nickelodeon banned the episode and he then uploaded the episode on a bunch of VHS tapes and passed it off as a bootleg episode just so people could see it. Nickelodeon found out and fired him.

That was the best, George had it coming. And the "lawn cigars" (dog turds) were hilarious.

John K. didn't give 2 lawn cigars and got the episode out as a bootleg tape, which got him finally fired. Here in South America we got to see ALL the episodes fully uncensored, which was awesome and sort of molded my sense of humor.

It might have been pulled from Nickelodeon, but there was a brief period where Ren and Stimpy was being shown on MTV later in the evenings, and that's where I happened to see this episode--along with a few others that Nickelodeon wasn't entirely comfortable airing.

They banned it after it was aired, I remember talking about that episode with friends at school the following day, lol.

Episode was great and funny as hell. The best is when Ren says “quick Stimpy, look sharp” and it’s a real cat and dog🤣
