I have a box of stuff for when guests come over. Like mugs for coffee. And extra other dishes. They visit very little so it's not a drag having to take them out as needed.

Well, being a minimalist is not really about having one thing, more like only get what you enjoy/ only what you use. It's not as dramatic as a lot of YouTubers make it seem. It's really about balance between saving money, spending money on what you enjoy and just living life.

The was me an till my ex husband moved in, he was a total opposite to me it was hell but now i removed the biggest declutter which was him and I'm still decluttering

I only own 1 pan, a 5qt sauté pan with lid covers multiple purposes.

Pro tip, scissors = 2 knives. It's far easier to eat with a knife than scissors, but you might be able to skip the knife, or the scissors if you use the other as utensils. Also, a high top frying pan works as a plate. This is great also, as you can skip having a dishwasher, almost a sink.

Most of these are normal to have one of. Many people only have multiple knives if they cook or bought a set and most people who have multiple mugs collected over the years. The rest are pretty normal. Most people who own multiple of these items in one household is because they don't live alone (like water bottles) or it's breaking/broken but they don't wanna part just yet (wallets)

I feel like those are the worst things to be a minimalist in. I'm for a scissor in every room, and multiple mugs to keep me happy
