Breakaway is such a beautiful song. Avril's version and Kelly's version are both beautiful. There's no need for comparison. Both versions give out different feels to their own.

Breakaway was Kelly’s first album, but it was the best Christmas gift I could have gotten as a kid who just turned 9 years old. This is a song that never left my heart, body or soul. It was engraved on my heart as a kid. Well that’s what happens when you keep the whole album on repeat. Kelly Clarkson and Hillary Duff were my idols! And their music was so inspiring! I had no idea though that Avril Lavigne had written this song and had plans to use it in her first album! She is so talented and absolutely gifted! I just love her and Kelly! ❤️
