"Category 5" - Double Ring Pour / Acrylic Pouring / Fluid Art / Florida Artist / Abstract Art

It was a near miss for most of Florida, but Hurricane Dorian was devastating for those in the Bahamas. My heart goes out to everyone in its path. I wanted to do this ring pour to resemble a hurricane and to remind me of the power and strength that mother nature carries. I like the way it came out. I used way too much paint, but thankfully i was able to scrape it off the table and save it for a future pour. I lost the other ring pour off the side, but that is ok, because i think it is more striking with the one center.

There are numerous ways to support those in disaster, i would encourage you to check with your local authorities or the red cross or food banks if you are in the spirit of giving.

Canvas is a 24x36in

I am so happy that I found acrylic pouring/fluid art a few years ago. It has helped me in so many ways and it just keeps getting better and better. This visual arts creative outlet has made me so happy. I am loving this abstract art! I hope to keep doing this for years to come! I have always been fascinated by modern and contemporary art. There is something about it that is so freeing and expressive. I love acrylic pouring because I get to experiment and really join the creative side of my brain with the scientific part! There are so many different fluid acrylic pouring techniques out there, so much more to try and have fun with. Make sure you are subscribed to my channel so that you may learn and be creative with me. I love hearing all of your comments. The hurricane was weighing on my mind and my thoughts go out to all of those affected! There are so many ways to give back as well. Thanks to all who checked up on me. We were so lucky this time. This was just a little nod to mother nature and what I felt like pouring. It is still wet, but I will post pics when its dry in the community tab! Thanks for all the love guys!

It’s soft and pretty Molly. We were blessed here in central FL and I too painted my feelings about Hurricane Dorian but on a 12x12. All fam in FL and NC spared thank you Jesus. 🙏🏼👩🏻‍🎨🎨🦋💚Kimi

As Bob Ross used to say it's "A happy accident" ... meaning: The "cloudy effect" that you got in your painting, even though it was an accident, turned out to be just the effect you needed for the painting. It truly shows a NASA view of a hurricane.
This is an incredible painting, Molly.

Beautiful canvas Molly. Your from the heart comments in the introduction are both touching and a true indication of your generous spirit.

Hi Molly I think that is so realistic it is looking just like a cyclone. So good to hear you are safe my prayers are with all in the path of the cyclone and all those affected by nature. Here in Australia we are fighting the worst bush fires since 2001 in south Queensland and now we have to put up with hooligans lighting fires for fun which have got out of control in the mid north coast of Queensland.hopefully our prayers will include all The Australians that have lost properties as well. God bless all in USA and Australia 🇦🇺 regards Di on Gold Coast Australia

Love the cloud effect in this one! It really looks like one of the NOAA photos of a hurricane.

I grew up in Galveston and I understand your Category 5. I know you do things (how you're feeling) through Art. That's why this is great!! People that live on a Coast really relate. I will add so many people in Galveston would certainly want to buy this piece. Thank you,
Judy ~

I think the cloud effect in white makes it look more like a hurricane and I love it.

Growing up a Florida girl the hurricane season has always been something paid attention to. I watched as bad ones hit, went through hurricane Opal in Panama City and my family was blessed to not have any damage. Then Hurricane Micheal took the panhandle by surprise and brought it to its knees. 15 months later and the devastation is still so very apparent and unreal. Thank you, Molly, for this tribute to the Bahamas. I did a "Hurricane" open cup pour but I'm not on your level with art. My heart still hurts for those who have felt the brunt of natural disasters and I can only pray mother nature will give us all a rest for a bit. I love all your work and your infectious laughter!

Thinking of all affected by storm.
Before the first pour left canvas it definitely reminded me of some of the radar images of the storm only in blues instead of the reds, yellows, oranges, and greens. It is still beautiful. The lines are like the bands in the storm. So inspirational

It's beautiful Molly... as beautiful as your caring heart. Here in Canada our hearts go out to the people in the Bahamas. The recovery will take time and resources but if we all pull together we can help them get it done. I'm so glad you guys are safe and hope Dorian loses momentum as it continues up the coast. Stay safe dear girl.

I like the painting. The white that went a grayer color reminds me of the wind in the hurricane. Great job.
