Lovech is a city, located in the Central part of Bulgaria, on the north side of the Balkan Mountain.
It preserves a centuries-old history.
The medieval fortress withheld against a byzantine siege during the revolt of Asen and Petur, who proceeded to restore the Second Bulgarian Tsardom. The town was a key location in organising the Bulgarian revolutionary movement in the 19th century that led to the russo-turkish war of 1878. During the war, Lovech had to be taken by the russians twice. Following the war, the modern Bulgarian state was created. #dji #drone #nature #bulgaria
