Hola amigos !! Hello friends !!
Its being a long time since my last upload, many not so good things happened in these months, in the winter me and my whole family got sick with COVID 19, it was a drag ! At least everybody is healthy now, but we were afraid, my brothers and me, beacuse my parents are old and they were in danger because of their age, anyway everything is fiine at the moment, and thats why i decided to shoot a little video because I abandoned my Youtube channel for so many months...

I guess another reason I didnt upload videos was that Im kinda lost in the "Hill Country Blues world" beacuse I didnt knew what to upload, it seemed that there were no songs that make me want to learn them and play them in my guitar(my grammar sucks XD), BUT I just discovered the music of CEDRIC BURNSIDE !! And man !! I really love his style and his music, Im currently listening to his album Benton County Relic !! It really blowed my mind !! So I will begin to shoot video lessons of my favourite songs of this album, so stay tuned amigos !!

I really think that Cedric represents the second coming of the Hill Country Blues !!! He just won a Grammy for his album I be Trying !! And I think he is the perfect amalgamation of the tradition he represents, for his blood ancesters, and the new exciting and original ideas he is adding to this style of blues that I love for so many years !! So as Hill Country Blues fans that we are I think we must be SUPER HAPPY because this kind of blues is in really good hands now and the future looks so bright and exciting !! So take care amigos and lets rock again !!

PS. I must mention too the great CAM KIMBROUGH !!! Another carrier of the Hill Country Blues tradition torch :) He is making great music too !!

It’s sure nice to see you again Ramiro!
You were the one that started me learning Hill Country,
I’m now almost five years learning guitar and the last few months I’ve improved a lot.
So many hours every day for almost five years is paying off.
I’ll be 62 in January, good thing I didn’t wait much longer to learn guitar.
Thanks again Ramiro for all your lessons and inspiration.
