I wanted to point out a trick for those motor brackets. Before you take the bracket off of the old motor, put a 1/2" self tapper through the strap and into the center hump in each bracket arm. This way the arms stay in place. I always hated that style bracket until I had one with screws in it from the factory. Now they all get an upgrade.

I always appreciate someone who always has an adjustable hammer but I super impressed when he knows how to use it 😂

Hey Curtis, I’m looking at getting a Veto Pac. I noticed you now use the open tote instead of the little zip up pack. Was the other one not working well?

Nothing to do with repairs but I cleaned out my unit and noticed my neighbors was full of grass clippings and dirt said wasn't working right showed him we got a air hose and a hose and washed it out said worked much better had to take motor off to clean properly so the next year we just cleaned it to be on safe side and oiled the motor still working good five years later just saying maintenance is the key

Ugh. The dreaded ECM motor, right? I can't wait till the one in my gas furnace goes out. I do have it protected with a surge protector though. Hopefully helps. You needed a cord to tie up those leaves. Very annoying, but nice plant. nice to be able to work off the back of the truck.

suggestion, PB-Blaster stinks, and could blow that smell into the house, some people are very sensitive to smells. as a home DIY mechanic i use acetone and automatic trans fluid 50/50 mix works as good as PB-blaster and the smell goes away unlike pb. actually nail polish is acetone. mix up in a squirt bottle.

there is a lot of electronic crap inside those blower motors that can fail or after my blower burned out, I put a regular motor, 3 speed and a relay 24v to run it.
