Elon Musk Fires Twitter Top Executives on October 27, 2022.
According to people familiar with the situation, Elon Musk fired a number of Twitter Inc. executives on October 27, 2022, after completing his takeover of the company.
After the deal finalized, Mr. Musk let go of both Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal and Chief Executive Officer Parag Agrawal, the sources claimed. Sean Edgett, general counsel, and Vijaya Gadde, Twitter's top legal and policy officer, were also let go by Mr. Musk. Twitter's spokespeople remained silent.
After those activities, Mr. Musk tweeted "the bird is freed" in apparent allusion to Twitter, the social media platform whose logo is a blue bird. Twitter is now a part of Elon Musk's X Holdings I Inc., according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday. The transaction was finalised on Thursday.
He previously expressed dissatisfaction with some of Twitter's top executives, at one time replying to Mr. Agrawal's message with a poop emoji. He also used the platform to make fun of Ms. Gadde, the top legal official, by tweeting an image with text that reiterated claims Twitter was biassed in favour of the left.
