If someone or several people are involved with inflicting and maintaining a level of stress and trauma while preventing outside support and resources so that if you do leave you have nowhere to go or to get very far, and the risk of confrontation and looking insane with untreated trauma resulting in official imprisonment or institutionalization? Is that false imprisonment or coercive control and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Or all 3.

would a university forcing you to quarintine in your dorm count as false imprisonment? especially if they threaten to expell you if you are not in your dorm?

Explain how this can't apply to police. If they put you in the back of their car an let you go? They put you in jail an just let you go?
