Megamind actually makes for a better hero because of his genius. Notice how his robots were helping rebuild the city a whole lot faster, this way he does not just fight evil but can easily rebuild whatever damage it did faster

Even though Metro man is vastly stronger than Megamind, ironically Megamind's genius will probably benefit the city than metroman's power ever did.

Why do I feel like Megamind rocked “Bad” by Michael Jackson better than the Minions sequel?

This movie had many strong and characteristic points, and among them are animation and attention to detail: 1:29 notice how Megamind moves Titan's head while sticking the gun in his nose, and that keeps the laser from the eyes to kill Roxanne.
And again, at 1:30, during defusing, the lasers are flickering as he loses his powers.
Truly masterful.
