I don't understand how the conversation officer can demand his desires! Apparently the conservation officer would rather look at a pile of rubble than see a restored home with a nice looking extension.

I love this series it’s so great! It really gets you dreaming of owning and renovating some type of old gothic or castle style home of your own!

To me it was not about the building. It was about the man....who restored it. A big shout to him and his family.

It is a shame that the addition could not be a similar neo-Gothic design to the original.
The modernists have to intrude into everything in our lives.
Bravo to the brave man & his family who saved this building.

Their fanciful bedroom is so gorgeous! It truly is a fairytale castle bedroom! I love it so much!

TIL word 'corn' in British English denotes all cereal grains, including wheat, oats and barley. They were designed to keep grain prices high to favour domestic producers, and represented British mercantilism.

Should have given them a framed copy of the poem to put on their wall.

Clearly not corn fields. Those are fields of wheat . I have always loved these journeys.

They could put in a pretty stained glass window instead of rippled glass 😊

The conservation guy is more worried about the transition between old and new, yet he doesn’t give a rip about the type of windows in the old? Makes PERFECT sense.
