BlackVue user caught the people who took his car for a joyride - almost red-handed - thanks to his dash cam setup. Here's his story.

BlackVue user (who prefers to stay anonymous) brought his car for service. Imagine his surprise when a little while later he received a notification on his phone - his vehicle was going over 95 mph (approx. 156 km/h)! That's how he discovered the techs - that were supposed to be servicing his car - were joyriding it. The dash cam even captured the moment the techs complained about the traffic that prevented them from speeding!

The BlackVue user was able to catch the culprits thanks to his setup - he equipped his Cloud-compatible, 4K BlackVue dash cam with a Battery Pack. Thanks to the Cloud connection he was able to receive a Push Notification on his phone when the techs were speeding.

According to the BlackVue user, the techs were dismissed the very next day after the incident.

The techs should have to watch their cars (all of them) get crushed and still liable for their debts until paid in full. Have their licenses suspended for at least a year. Blacklisted from working in any type of auto shop, valet services, or any services utilizing vehicular delivery! They must also pay in full the loss of value due to the unlawful wear and tear on the vehicle. And to top it off, they should be charged with grand theft auto since they were NOT performing an authorized test drive and serve the maximum time. And lastly, the owner should get free service and maintenance repairs for five matter what the repairs or services are!
