NCDOT Now: Sept. 8 - Litter Sweep; Take The Train To Fall Events; DBE Meetings; Women Connect

This week on NCDOT Now: It’s the time of year when people get together to help clean up North Carolina roadways. Also, NCDOT’s Rail Division announced NC By Train, the state’s passenger rail service, will make special stops at this year’s North Carolina State Fair and Lexington Barbeque Festival in October. And, The Office of Civil Rights is working hard to connect with firms statewide on contracting opportunities with the department.Twice this month, NCDOT will host outreach meetings to educate disadvantaged business enterprises. Finally, The NCDOT WomenConnect Employee Resource group met for the first time recently, with dozens of people in attendance.
