This is the material of grade 5 titanium,
Then the above is made of electroplated platinum process(Left),
Below is the true color of a titanium(right),
Then plating platinum, its color is brighter!
Close to the steel color, which is actually brighter than the steel color.
The color of titanium is darker.

I prefer the darker one, the true Platinum color ! I’m waiting for you to release this watch to get it 👏🏽

Please keep the titanium dark and add a scratch protection coating/treatment. People who want titanium watches do not want them to look like steel - they would just buy the steel version for less.

Prefer darker but is playing scratch resistant?

I prefer the electroplating platinum coating, so it looks closer to stainless steel instead of the darker look of titanium. The brushed and polished finishing on the titanium case looks great too! 👍

An interesting concept. Lightness of titanium with the brightness of plating.
I am interested in the scratch proofing coating brands are now using.
Any plans for San Martin to use this.

I would worry that the electroplating would wear off over time.

Fix the sharp edges on your bracelets. Just a tip

Its an interesting idea. Does it add any effective scratch resistance? I'm not sure it would be a big seller to those who like titanium but it would be worth trying a limited edition run in platinum plating.

更喜歡本色,感覺既然都是鈦,就讓他彰顯他的本色嘛

電白金除了顏色外有別的意義嗎?

Is this case for upcoming pelagos homage?

NO need for extra plating on Ti because it will partially wear off over time and the watch will look bad. I would rather have the watch full of scratches. It adds character to the watch.

Titanium ❤❤❤
Platinum plated .... not good

Platinum is an exotic metal where Titanium is not. I don’t think titanium looks that good. Besides the weight advantage over steel, I am not sure why it is desirable. So to plate a watch to look like steel, why not just get steel.
Now if it was solid Platinum, it would be extremely exotic and expensive.
