Considering the fact he’s albino, his version of stealth is probably less “no one notices him when he hunts” and more “no one’s alive to notice when he hunts”.

Rudy legitimately scared me as a kid. Definitely one of the top teir villains in the Ice Age franchise

Buck’s flashback of Rudy terrified me as a kid. Him standing alone on a branch, over a sea of all-consuming clouds, with Rudy effortlessly blending in and when he did show himself, he towered over Buck, with red eyes resembling a portal into hell itself.

Dawn of the Dinosaurs is easily my favorite Ice Age movie, Buck is such an amazing character and Rudy had the potential to be genuinely terrifying if this weren’t a kids movie

I also love that they didn’t fall into that wheelrut of “Let’s just make the bad guy a T-Rex, people know what that is & already think they’re scary”.

Fun fact, Rudy is estimated to be 150 feet tall and 350 feet long, makin him roughly 50 feet taller than Kong in Skull.

The more you think about Rudy the scarier he becomes. Usually albino animals are doomed to die when not in an environment where it’s good for camouflage.

That means that for Rudy to get to his size he needed to be *far* beyond the normal viscousness of other predatory carnivores…and he did it all *by himself*
