I think it's really sweet that Blackmore and Night found each other, discovered this mutual attraction to medieval music, and then stayed with it. You can see how genuinely they adore both this kind of music and each other.

In all the older projects, Blackmore looked really angry and only stayed with one line-up for a year or two. He only wrote what was commercial and then sneaked in a few references to art music.

Here, he gets to do the kind of music that's actually close to him, and it shows.
