Your review of both cars is spot on. We went to the dealership with the intention of buying the Pathfinder, but ended up getting the QX60. We test drove the Pathfinder first and did not like the handling that much. But then the sales guy said that we should give the QX60 a try since they just had one delivered (only one on the lot), and our decision was made after that. The Pathfinder felt very much like a big SUV with so-so handling, whereas the QX60 felt like we were driving a much smaller, nimbler and more comfortable car, even though they are the same size. To us, the driving experience and quality of the QX60 was worth the difference in price.

I drove both the pathfinder platinum and the qx60 luxury, for me the pathfinder is the clear choice as I can not justify spending 15k extra for the infiniti badge.
The pathfinder handles and drives just as good as the infiniti in my opinion. The infiniti is smoother and looks a little more luxurious. I prefer the rugged look of the pathfinder and it looks to be more capable in harsh conditions. The pathfinder is the best car for the money on the road right now and the platinum is literally the perfect car for anyone in the market for a midsized 3 row suv.

As far as looks, I like the Infinity is better. But is it worth the increase cost? I haven't driven either, but would assume that the Infinity has a more polished ride. Something I would like to know is what is the resale value after 5 or 10 years? What are dealerships selling both models for? Are the selling for MSRP or more than MSRP?

Right now. I am just trying to get as much infrormation on models the I am interested in. And waiting for the market and supply of vehicles to get better.

I really was thinking about the QX60... but were I live, the full option version costs around 27.000 $ more than the full option pathdfinder.... and this is for me a clear no go !

I decided to get the Pathfinder Platinum after doing a test drive. It was bit wallowy (has some noticeable body role) however it stayed planted on corners and sharp turns. I thought it will lean further on turns but surprisingly it remained planted. It has a 20-30% truckish feel, I know it's not a body on frame but still has truck DNA. Anyways, I could not get a good lease deal in my area and most dealers already sold the Platinum and had good deals for SL trim only. With that said, it was easier for me to get a deal on the Infintit Qx60 Luxe with vision package (same options/features as Pathfinder Platinum). I ended leasing the QX60 for almost the same price as the Pathfinder platinum which was in high demand while the QX 60 was available everywhere. QX60 ride is definitely better and more luxurious and controlled with less body role. When you go to Infiniti dealership you are treated differently, its a luxury brand, dealerships are similar to Lexus and it has 3 years maintenance & service included from Infinity.

If you put premium fuel in the Pathfinder the HP of the engine goes up to match the Infinity. The reason is the engine's management system allows for more advanced timing advance for the engine ignition operation, and thus the greater power output. Put premium in the Pathfinder and you will see the difference when accelerating. I had a 2016 Murano with the 3.5 and CVT. I was running it on premium fuel from the time I bought it. The difference in performance showed right away. I kept it till Sept 2021 when I bought the Pathfinder Platinum. I prefer how the Pathfinder drives with its 9 speed transmission. The Murano was more of a sporty handling. I am not an aggressive driver. The Pathfinder worked out more perfect for my way of driving and lifestyle.

The base platform of both types of vehicles are very much the same. The Pathfinder suspension is beefed up a bit more, and raised a bit more for off road driving. My impression with the Infinity is you are paying a bit more for the more elaborate trims and a few extra features such as seat message and a slightly larger main screen. I have not compared the sound systems myself, but I know they are both Bose systems, and use the same type of amplifier and speaker technology. I am wondering if the Infinity sound system seems to sound better because of the interior design differences changing the acoustics of the vehicle.

I chose pathfinder because the look is wilder and the performance is more balanced! Thanks for the video!

Both of these vehicles are riding on the same platform, built on the same assembly line in Smyrna, Tennessee. What is the difference in the suspension that makes ride quality change?

I am watching the comparison review right now on u tube, u say that the Infinity has second row ac seats. Is that accurate? I know they do have heated second row seats but not aware of second row ventilated or ac seats. Please clarify

If I’m spending that much money on a car I’m definitely going for the Infiniti. I’d rather pay extra and have something I love

My opinions are probably uncommon, but I’ll say a few things. First, I liked sun/moonroofs when they were only above the front seats. Now most of them are “panoramic.” I’d rather not have more than half of my roof made of glass. Interesting that every QX60 trim has a panoramic roof.
Second, speedometers should always be centered with the steering wheel. That way I can check my speed with a split second glance straight down, without having to look slightly left or right. I wish the digital speedometer in all of these vehicles could be centered. It is in the Pathfinder sub-Platinum trims.
The premium fuel requirement of the QX60 is a non-starter for me. I won’t buy a vehicle with that requirement. Pathfinder is still on my list though.

This reminds me a lot of when we got the Pathfinder/ QX4 from the late 90s/ early 2000s. Of course not as rugged, and surely not as reliable (long term).

It's easier to get in and out of the third row seats, if you pass in between the second row seats.

got a question- if both pathfinder and qx60 have the same engine then why qx60 requires premium fuel and the pathfinder does not?

As long it has the foot trunk activation buy both. Hands free foot trunk activation is the modern way to open a trunk. Not key fob nor push. Using your foot without using your hands to open trunk
