The most important debate today centers on whether China should adopt the Western economic model. Economist John Ross argues that, given China's economy is growing much faster than that of the West, such a suggestion is akin to advising someone to learn from a less successful company rather than a more successful one.

I think you should dive deeper. Dont compare just the percentage in higher education; look deeper the number of STEM geaduates and China has multiples of US, China produce mor PHDs in science and engineering and at one time many were studying in US.
Just look at the number of Chinese PHDs in reseqrch institutions, universities, and large IT companies.
You have under-estimated China.
If it is so easy to copy, why isnt India copying? All countries copying on the way up. China copies but also substantially innovate and improve.
Per ASPI in its Aug 2024 report on critical technology, China is number 1 in 57 of 64 amd US leads the the balance 7.
China has already filed more patents than US .
Enough said .

The western mindset 'the west growing at 2% is, doing really well and China's 5% growth is collapsing' 😂😂😂😂😂. You have to laugh at the stupidity of the westerners who made this idiotic statement. 😂😂😂😂

Is this just chinese propaganda? He doesn't quote any real statistics, just vague assertions. No mention of the 20 per cent youth unemployment or lack of the populace ability to buy their own products. They are struck with the problem of finding more export markets for their over capacity. Markets that no longer exist. 5 percent growth is meaningless if you can't sell the stuff.
