Memories…1977..hadjust arrived in Atlanta, Ga. from Jamaica to attend University….ROOTS hit the TV screen n was a must see…loved Curtis Mayfield thru out my high school years in Ja, so his soundtrack for the series was a must have…

1971 I was in my senior year had my driver I had bought CURTIS on album and I love the new style, the arrangement, and the music . So when Roots came out I had to have . My Dear Mother trusted me to drive her to visit her younger sister in Hot Springs, Arkansas and Curtis took us all the way down there and back. Curtis Mayfield was a huge taste for me at that point .
