Cyber Pulse with Rob Cataldo, e.1 – The State of Cybersecurity in Healthcare: An Introduction

Rob Cataldo, Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Kaspersky Lab North America speaks on the state of cybersecurity in #healthcare and offers findings on “Cyber Pulse,” a study on cybersecurity amongst Americans and Canadians working in healthcare.

The findings gather healthcare employees’ perceptions of cybersecurity in their workplace, including awareness of cybersecurity breaches, protection of sensitive information, cybersecurity awareness and training, and more. The results of this research revealed:

- Awareness of ransomware attacks amongst healthcare workers and the number of attacks experienced
- How many workers would report a suspicious email to their employer’s IT team
- How often third-party requests to share personal patient information are granted
- The number of workers who care about having cybersecurity measures in place and why they care
Improvements needed to secure organizations and their patients’ personal information
