People saying that he is not Kratos...he is due to evidence of his scars from battle and his "Spartan Rage" that appear during combat...so its definitely Kratos himself but older with a beard. Seems he start a new life with his son to go and fight against Norse gods...but maybe his son got killed by a Norse god during the game so it cause him to go against Norse Gods like he did with Greeks Gods that cause him to kill his family.

I'm glad the god of war franchise went in a different direction. If it was similar to the previous ones, I would be dissapointed. This new GOW looks amazing.

[My Theory] I think After killing the greek gods - he sought a new beginning Kratos may have traveled to Scandinavia. It may still be the same Kratos. After all he is somewhat 'imoortal' - if not, maybe he just ages slowly, kinda like Wolverine [wolverine has spanned many ages and many wars, maybe its the same concept?]

Kratos apparently can use the freggin force now since he can retrieve his axe like a Jedi pulls in a lightsaber. I'm sure there is a magic explanation but I prefer to think he's using the force.

I actually find this to be an interesting spin on things. I'd actually like to see if there are remnants of the old Greek world in this rendition of the ancient mythos. Maybe some crumbled remains of some temples overgrown with nature. A solemn reminder of the great world that once was.

Also this seems to have an open world feel to it.... Open World GoW?

For everyone shitting and saying "Not another God Of War!" I dont think it would be that bad. the game looks like it's taking on a new style of playing and it just looks really good and the plot seems interesting by the trailer alone.

I know the god of war series has neen done to death but it's no were near as bad as how many sequels and spin offs Assassin's Creed shits out
