If the United States were to strike Iran’s military and nuclear facilities, It will response but Iran faces a battlefield of asymmetry, where it must compensate for its lack of large, conventional naval forces.

Unlike the U.S. Navy, which boasts giant floating airbases capable of projecting power across the globe,
To counter American carrier strike groups, Iran employs a mix of submarine warfare and massed speedboat attacks.

Reports suggest Iran may have acquired submarines from North Korea, adding to its arsenal of Ghadir-class midget submarine.

But Iran also made these new Stealth Twin Hull Design attack ships to counter the larger destroyer.
More details all in the Video ahead.

Iran’s asymmetric strategy to counter US power is truly fascinating! From swarming speedboats to hidden missile-laden cargo ships, their tactics challenge the US’s advanced technology. How effective do you think these unconventional methods could be in a real confrontation?

I think it would be intersting to see, not simply how US vs Iran stack up - but other groups now across the region for your next video in this scenario. Notably how Israel and US would cooperate - as well as how Iran would leverage its proxies.

Ultimately who will be the winner? Hints: the country and the minority group which controls the US government, economy, technology, politicians, Hollywood and you name it!

Being a former U.S. Navy strike planner, I am very impressed with Iran's defensive and offensive capabilities. Their strategic outlook is to overwhelm their enemy with numerous threats. This strategy isn't new and for years has been used by the USSR / Russians and to some extent, the CCP. They substitute conventional numbers v advanced technology. It's a brutal but effective strategy. Brutal, because some of their forces will be used as a decoy / target to expose enemy forces. The U.S. has long ignored this strategy by building fewer, more expensive, advanced weapon systems. A simplistic example is the following: A U.S. advanced tech SSN is hunting Iranian mini-subs. A mini-sub or other enemy ship gives up it's position prompting the SSN to fire upon it. As soon as the SSN fires upon the threat, it gives up its position. The Iranian "Wolf Pack" then swarms the SSN with overwhelming force. FYI. This is not confidential information. These tactics have been known since the Cold War years. Ironically, the same rudimentary strategy continues to this day. How we will confront / combat these present day forces is confidential. I will say this. The Iranians are not capable of building these weapon systems, etc., without outside help. Not all is coming from the Russians and or Chinese. Our NATO / EU buddies are helping them out. I.E., they sell the Iranians components for their weapon systems including computer technology. THAT, my friends, has long been the dirty secret. The same took place during Vietnam and other conflicts. Our "Friends" really aren't our friends. I.E., the German's, French and U.K. to name a few. FYI. Remember when Obama allowed one of our top secret drones to be captured by the Iranians? Do you think it was by coincidence Iranian drone production reached high levels after this capture? I say again, those who you think are our friends are not. Even those friends in our own backyard.

why is there an assumption the US would even put their ships close enough for Iran to attack?

I would imagine that the Pentagon is aware of everything you listed about Iran's military as well as probably a lot more.
