On the 26th of July 2016, WWF-Australia, in partnership with The Sydney Alliance, Co-hosted a fascinating and powerful storytelling and panel discussion event exploring “Climate Change and Resilience Building – A lesson from New Orleans”.
Keynote speaker was Rev. Willie Bennett – a community organiser from Dallas, Texas with an amazing story involving empowering displaced survivors from New Orleans.
WWF-Australia CEO Dermot O’Gorman also spoke about climate change and social equity here in Australia, along with an expert panel, including; Monica Barone (CEO - City of Sydney), Seforosa Carroll (Pacific Manager, Uniting World) and Cassandra Goldie (CEO – ACOSS).
