Volvo XC90 deadly crash. DDrive

The driver would not have survived such an accident in any car...

A Volvo XC90 won’t let you die easily, but can’t defeat the laws of physics. Godspeed for those who passed away.

Даже Вольво не всегда спасает... 20 лет назад попал на Вольво 850 Т5 в жесткое дтп по своей вине. На скорости 140-150 боком ударил стоящий на дороге Камаз с полуприцепом загруженый цементом. Удар пришелся в переднюю стойку с пассажирской стороны, причём удар был такой силы, что обе задние балки на прицепе Камаза просто сломались и вылетели. Мы с женой были не пристёгнуты, поэтому жена ударилась головой об переднюю панель и рассекла лоб немного. В общем травм у нас почти не было. Кузов машины пагасил удар и не смотря на то что пассажирское пространство вообще не пострадало, восстановлению не подлежал. Рука не поднялась отдать машину на разбор. Заменили кузов, восстановили её, привели в порядок, так и оставили её у себя, продавать не стали. В семье у нас есть и другие машины, но Вольво любимица, как никак спасла жизнь, почти член семьи. Иногда выезжаем на ней покататься, НО соблюдая ПДД и скоростной режим!!! Как никто знаем что даже Вольво не может спасти от всего, почти всё зависит от водителя! Все когда то предстанем перед БОГОМ, зачем к нему торопиться? Спасибо всем кто дочитал. Всем удачи на дорогах и добра!!!

No civilian vehicle could have survived an accident like this. Even cars like Mercedes-Benz, Rolls Royce, ... Until now, no roof has been durable enough to withstand such a terrible force. Rest in peace driver.

From what I have known, it wasn't a head-on collision, but collision from the roof portion against the tree at a very high speed while at a bend, which led to losing control, and car toppled on it's side and went against the tree, flying off the road. Had it been a head-on collision, she would have definitely survived with multiple injuries. RIP!😢

An eyewitness account in the Hungarian article says that it had overtaken several cars, continued along the wrong side of the road for some distance and then left the road entirely in a bend. The only casualty was the 22 year old woman who was driving. May she rest in peace.

This is surely the least survivable way to crash. The old XC90 has a very good roof to strength ratio and rollover performance, but the roof of a car simply isn’t designed, nor could it be designed, to absorb or withstand the immense force of a pole impact.

Жалко😥 Мне кажется, эта Вольво была до этого в авариях, жесткость кузова нарушена, а вероятно и рама. Прочность кабины и крышы у Вольво, одни из их самых сильных сторон. Думаю если бы это была XC90 без прошлых авариях, она бы не смялась так.
