Ariane 5 launches Eutelsat Konnect VHTS

An Ariane 5 launch vehicle (Ariane Flight VA258) launched the Eutelsat Konnect VHTS satellite (6.4 metric tons) into Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO) from Ariane Launch Complex No. 3 (ELA 3) at Guiana Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana, on 7 September 2022, at 21:45 UTC (18:45 local time). The Eutelsat Konnect Very High Throughput Satellite (VHTS) will provide high-speed internet access throughout Europe, with an instantaneous rate of 500 Gbps.

Regarding the reason for separation of boosters from main stage I'd that the booster engines are optimized for use in the atmosphere while the engines of the main stage are optimized for the vacuum of space. The external conditions, forces and pressures effects the ability of the engines output
