I use a grapefruit spoon - don't even have to turn it - just get under it and it pops out. Faster than any method I've seen. I swear by it!

I was just going to say, what is the average weight of the leaves and non edible stuff you are removing? I mean, over all? What % of strawberry typical contains all that stuff you want to take off?
Ok, now I'm over thinking this. I never give this a second thought when I lop the top off. Ain't nobody got time for that.

We discovered the straw method a few years back and my husband thought it was so neat that he is now the official strawberry huller. (huller? 😆)

I like that it takes the bitter center out of strawberries that might not be as sweet as they should.

Paring knife method seems best overall- if the store had a sale on strawberries, you'd want to hull them as quickly and efficiently as possible. :D

To me it appeared that the straw method was the best, because it looked to remove the parts of the strawberry flesh that I don't want to eat anyway.

Yes the last method is how I was taught, by my mom. She had said "In all my years, I nvr knew this, it's so much easier" lol
