Tutorial: Bidirectional Forwarding Detection

This tutorial highlights a scenario where dynamic network route failover can take an undesired amount of time which can be mitigated through the use of Bidirectional Forwarding Detection. This tutorial will also demonstrate the configuration and validation testing of successful BFD within an OSPF environment.

Very good video tutorial! Just a quick question: on the video at 2:19 the design shows two PA-220, but in the datasheet it says that they don't support BFD... It is really supported or not BFD on the PA-220? Thanks!

If we change the default value of Hello interval in OSPF to 1sec, wouldn't we see the same recovery time for OSPF as BFD?
