Korean Street Food: Bindaetteok

This month we continue exploring some of Korea's best street food. Today, I head to the market to sample one of my favorites: bindaetteok. It's another kind of Korean pancake, but it's made with mung bean paste and is absolutely wonderful.

Agreed Bindaetteok is wonderful, when I did a fun world travel last year Korea was one of my stops had many good foods there surely would get Bindaetteok again on my next world travel adventure

Yup. In fact, it is a jeon (pancake)! It may be a little harder to find it, but totally worth it.

I had this my first evening in Seoul, less than one month ago, when I came there on a trip. Bought it in Namdaemun Market, really tasty :)

Same thing with me in Japan although my language skills are extremely limited. Heading back on Saturday and plan on having a fab trip just like yours.

I'm pretty sure I have had this, I bought some made fresh at a Korean grocery store not knowing what it was only that it looked delicious and I was hungry! ^_^

Bidaetteok is more thicker more heartier(!) version of Pajeon. Bindaetteok is like a deep dish chicago style pizza that has more toppings in :-)

Hmm--I wonder if I can track this down here in Koreatown LA. Does look exactly like Pajeon (my fave!)

I don't know if I've actually had this before. Maybe I thought it was just Pajeon. Hm.

Oh--wait, it turns out I have had this. It's one of the side dishes at one of my favorite KBBQ places in Koreatown. I just mistook it for a Pajeon! :)

I love this food.... It is very good with 막걸리. My Korean friend told me to not use too much soy sauce because salt is not good for you... ^^ They don't realize Americans eat too much salt anyway... :)

Pajeon is more simpler, thinner than Bindatteok. Bindatteok is like Deep dish Chicago style pizza that has different ingredients in. :-)
